Now that the tournament has moved from Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru put on a fantastic all-around performance in the season's opening game at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara. RCB continued their winning streak and won five straight games this season. In the current season, they are the only team without a loss.
With 10 points from five games, RCB has advanced to the playoffs thanks to this victory. In the meantime, RCB has also set an all-time WPL record. RCB is now the first team in the WPL to win six straight games. They had previously won five straight games in 2024β2025. The Mumbai Indians are the only other team with five straight victories; they achieved this twice, in 2023 and 2023β2024. They were tied with RCBW, but they are now ahead of them.

RCB won all five of their games this season and defeated the Mumbai Indians in their final game of the 2025 campaign.
RCB was once again at their peak going into the game. Bengaluru, who were asked to bat first, scored an impressive 178/6 in their 20 overs thanks to a brilliant 73 from 55 balls from Gautami Naik. With a brief cameo, Radha Yadav scored 17 off of eight balls as the Bengaluru team amassed a substantial total.
Sayali Satghare shocked the Giants with two wickets in the second over of the chase, demonstrating how well the bowlers complemented Bengaluru. Before discarding Sophie Devine, she cleaned Beth Mooney. After Lauren Bell eliminated Kanika Ahuja, Nadine de Klerk, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav joined the group.
