LondonOn March 11 (Wednesday), the inaugural Women's Hundred auction made history in London's Piccadilly Lights. Today, the first-ever Men's Hundred auction will take place at the same location. More than 240 players will be put up for auction, with each team holding 2.05 million GBP.
However, direct signings and retentions have already cost them a portion of their purse. Teams may include up to four foreign players in their final squad, with a maximum squad size of eighteen. Hero Players, Ranked Players, and Nominated Players are the three categories into which the auction pool has been split.
At the auction, major players are available to sign. There are a number of significant options at the auction even though teams have already signed and retained players. The opening pair from New Zealand, Finn Allen and Tim Seifert, are among the foreign players who are anticipated to garner attention. In the T20 World Cup semifinal match against South Africa, Allen scored a century off 33 balls, and Seifert is renowned for his aggressive batting style in the game's shortest format.
Sikandar Raza, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and others are anticipated to be in high demand during the auction. Jordan Cox, the MVP of the previous season, Adil Rashid, James Vince, Luke Wood, and Chris Jordan are some of the well-known English players that the teams are anticipated to sign in the auction.
