The IPL 2026 schedule has been revealed; on March 28, RCB will play SRH in the opening match at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The schedule for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released. The first game of the season will be between the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 28. The expert committee will decide on March 13 whether or not all of the RCB games will be played at this location.

The Punjab Kings, who came in second place last time, will play their first game of the season on March 31 in Mullanpur against the Gujarat Titans. The Mumbai Indians, who have won the championship five times, will start their season against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 29. The Chennai Super Kings, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, will play their first game against the Rajasthan Royals, who used to be Sanju Samson's team, on March 30 in Guwahati.

The final two teams to begin their IPL 2026 campaign will be the Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, who will play each other on April 1 in Lucknow. Sanju Samson was traded to the Chennai Super Kings, so the Royals will be without him for the first time in over ten years.
