Tannaz Irani shares about her first marriage before marrying Bakhtyar Irani: ‘He was 18 years older’

Actress Tannaz Irani, known for her roles in Yeh Meri Life Hai and Mein Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, recently shared details of her life including her childhood, first marriage, divorce and how it affected both her and her daughter emotionally.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Tannaz Irani said that she was brought up in the 1980s among strong women, which made her self-confident and comfortable being herself. Tannaz Irani also revealed how her emotional immaturity at a young age impacted her first marriage.

Tannaz Irani said: “I married a Muslim man who was 18 years older than me. "My family knew that Tannaz would do what her heart told her, no matter how much you tell her not to, she wouldn't listen, and he was a very sorted man, great actor. Then we got married and had my first child.

She also told us why the marriage ultimately failed, saying: “When you’re 20, you’re developing so much as a woman. He was a great man and gave me space to find my own but I think I was looking for something else.” I wanted to go out and party and do things, but he was more mature.

Tannaz also said she only later realised how much the separation had affected their daughter. 'It took me a long time to realise maybe it wasn't easy for my daughter at all. She was small and she knew what was happening.
