Siddharth Gupta on his film debut with Krishnavataram
Siddharth Gupta, who stood in front of Krishnavataram in Mumbai, wrote a long note talking about the heartbreaks and struggles he had gone through over the years until luck finally smiled on him. He wrote, “For years this city only knew me as a man waiting. Waiting outside of audition rooms. Waiting for phone calls that never came. Waiting for the day hard work would finally meet opportunity. There were times I questioned everything. When it would have been easier to turn away. Times when my dream was bigger than my reality. But inside I clung on. I just kept believing… If I kept showing up, kept working, kept trusting the process even when nothing made sense… One day life would respond.
Today, after more than a decade in Mumbai, I stood in front of my own film poster, and just looked at it for sometime. Not because my face is on it. But it carries with it all the years unseen. All the rejections. All the heartbreaks. All the silent prayers. All the times I chose faith over fear. And somehow, out of all the stories that could have asked to be told, I was chosen to be Krishna. That means more to me than I can ever say.”
“Whatever is next, this moment is already a victory. since some dreams do not all come at once. They test you. They mould you. And then one day they are on a billboard in the same city that made you question if you belonged. Thank you. For the waiting. For the battle. For the religion. He ended by saying Jai Shri Krishna.
Gupta was also seen in the 2014 film Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi.
