New Delhi:The trailer for Season 2 of Inspector Avinash is finally out, and this time, things seem to be a lot more dangerous for Randeep Hooda's brave cop. The crime thriller is coming back with bigger action, darker twists, and a much more personal fight after getting a lot of praise for its first season.
The trailer for Season 2 of Inspector Avinash is out.
Inspector Avinash Season 2 was made by Jio Studios and directed by Neerraj Pathak. Randeep Hooda plays the main character, and Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Rajneish Duggal, Shalin Bhanot, and Freddy Daruwala are also in it.
Set against the tense backdrop of 1990s Uttar Pradesh, the story follows Inspector Avinash Mishra as his personal and professional worlds begin to fall apart simultaneously. While fighting a deadly crime network that’s involved with politics and corruption, Avinash is also fighting problems at home. His son is implicated in a murder, his marriage starts to break down and the system he once trusted turns against him.
The trailer teases a high-voltage battle between Avinash and a powerful criminal nexus led by Sheikh and Devi, who are expanding an illegal weapons network. As betrayal starts to seep from within the system itself, Avinash is suspended, arrested and thrown into a fight where survival becomes as important as justice. Randeep Hooda on ‘Inspector Avinash’ Season 2
Randeep Hooda said, "This season strips Avinash down to his core." This is what he said about coming back as Inspector Avinash. He's not just fighting crime anymore; he's fighting for his family, his truth, and his life. The action is more intense, the scale is bigger, and the feelings are stronger. "It's a ride that's a lot more intense."
Urvashi Rautela also talked about being in the show, saying, "Inspector Avinash Season 2 is bigger, bolder, and more explosive than ever." It's been a wild ride to be a part of a story full of action, emotion, and surprises. Each scene makes the tension even higher. Working with JioHotstar on a show of this size has been great, and I can't wait for people to feel the excitement and drama we've made.
Director Neerraj Pathak said that the new season takes the story to a much more dangerous place. "Season 2 takes everything that worked in the first season and makes it a lot more unstable." Avinash is no longer just fighting criminals; he's also fighting a system that is falling apart around him. We have made the action bigger, but more importantly, we have made the emotional conflict deeper. This time, the fight is as personal as it is external.
The series is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Neerraj Pathak, Gold Mountain Pictures and Krishan Choudhary. The show is penned by Neeraj Pathak, Sanjay Masoom and Sameer Arora.
Inspector Avinash Season 2 will be available for streaming on JioHotstar from May 15, 2026.
