Australia put forth a magnificent performance against Bangladesh as they registered a brilliant win in the second Test of the series. The two teams met at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay for the clash, and across two days, Australia made quick work of Bangladesh and registered a victory by an innings and 51 runs.

Speaking after the win, Australia captain Pat Cummins came forward and talked about how brilliant it is to bounce back after having lost the first Test of the series and how the sharpness in every aspect of their game helped them find the win in Mackay to level the series.

“Yeah, that’s right. A lot of things went right these couple of days, where a lot of things went wrong last week. But yeah, we needed to bounce back and it was a great couple of days from the lads. [On the sharpness of the fielding and the impact of the strong start] Yeah, that’s it. I thought everyone was really sharp. It’s a bit like the opposite last week. If you get a really good first hour or two, it can set up the rest of the match,” Cummins said.
